IMPORTANT UPDATE
Hello Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well. As you may have heard, the Ontario government has announced new Covid guidelines starting this Shabbos morning, December 26th. These new guidelines limit the number of people that we can have in shul to 10. Baruch Hashem this will still allow us to have minyan but will present some challenges. I know that the members of our shul will continue to overcome and excel in the face of these challenges as they have done in the past. To accommodate these guidelines we will be implementing the following rules.
- Anyone who would like to attend any minyan MUST register with me in advance. You can do so by emailing me at rabbi@yiofo.ca or calling or texting me at 613.879.6431. Please register as far in advance as you can so we can ensure that we will have 10 people for all minyanim.
- Spots will be rewarded on a first-come-first-serve basis. If more than 10 people register for a minyan we will try to make other arrangements, including making additional minyanim using members who have already davened.
- If you register for a minyan you MUST come on time. As we can only have 10 people, failure to come on time will cause everyone else in the minyan to have to wait.
- If you register for a minyan and have to cancel, please let me know ASAP. Failure to do so may cause in preventing others from davening with a minyan.
- At this time minyan will only be open to men over the age of 13 only.
- All social distancing guidelines will continue to be strictly enforced.
Please read the following guidelines carefully. I appreciate your full cooperation to ensure that the maximum number of people can participate in the minyanim and that all minyanim run smoothly.
Thank you!
Rabbi Gavriel Rudin
